These excursions are specifically designed for exploring the coastal waters near the beaches, where a variety of marine life can be observed. While the predominant species in these areas are sharks, there are also frequent sightings of red drum, sting rays, blue fish, pompano, snook, Spanish mackerel, whiting, sand trout, and others throughout the year. These trips are an ideal option if you are looking for an affordable option, or if you are a novice angler hesitant to commit to a full offshore charter. Additionally, we conduct these trips during periods of rough seas when offshore travel is not feasible. Typically, our fishing takes place within three miles of the shore, along the surf and beyond, depending on the fish’s location.

They’re also ideal during the sweltering summer months or if you’re pressed for time. Our primary focus on these excursions is to get your fishing rod bent with fast-paced action, so be prepared for an exhilarating experience.

The Deep Drop Trip is a 9-hour offshore deep water bottom fishing in depths from 200′ to 1000′ targeting delicious tasty species such as Golden Tilefish, Blueline Tilefish, Snowy Grouper, Yellowedge Grouper, Amberjack, Red Porgy, Vermillion Snapper and more. These trips will be using electric reels most of the time. While targeting these fish out in the Gulf Stream we often come across Mahi as a bonus.

We could not have had a better experience! We took our 3 kiddos (ages 7, 5, &1) and had the time of our lives! The Captain had everything we could need and was so helpful with all of the rods and getting all of the sharks in the boat safely so we could touch, hold, and take pictures! We caught 18 sharks (which is not a guarantee), and did not sit idly for more than 5 minutes. In the between time, we caught loads of bait fish, which the kids absolutely loved as the sharks are heavy to pull in and they need an adult, whereas the bait fish are easy. And as soon as the bait fish went back out we had 1-2 sharks on our lines! We caught 10-blacknose, 7-hammerheads, and a spinner shark! Seriously- if you’re on the fence, DO THIS! We want to come back every time we vacay here!

Great experience. Our son has ASD and we were worried about how he’d do. He did amazing, and the captain was super knowledgeable and helpful to involve everyone. We all fished, and caught our first shark within minutes!! An ice cooler was provided, and the trip was very well managed and scheduled. Great boat and even with our crew the Captain ensured we had a memorable experience. Very communicative, and quickly with responses if we had any questions prior to trip. They also checked in before hand. Very professional, very helpful. Definitely recommend for family fun, and first timers!

Today was AMAZING, a day I will never forget!!! Capt Nate made this such a fun day on the water. He really knows his stuff, and is very personable. The boat is pristine, comfortable, and roomy. By far the best thing we did while in Florida. The whole family said it was better than the amusement parks. I have 3 young kids (7 year old boy, 5 year old boy, and 16 month girl) and they were all able to enjoy the fishing experience! We caught 18 sharks!! It’s was quite the work out. The sharks fought so hard. It was such a rush! The Captain (Nate) was super friendly and so good and patient with my kids. The boat was super nice and the whole experience couldn’t have been better. Fished with checkmate on 7/31. The word around to docks were that fishing was tough due to sea grass and the thermocline. That wasn't the case for us. We ran out about 26 miles and immediately started catching giant amberjack! It was an amazing 3/4 day charter! Capt Nate knows what he's doing and works his tail off to make sure he puts you on fish! The boat was spotless and the fishing was outstanding! We have enough fish in the freezer to last the rest of the year! Thanks for creating great memories Capt Nate! We will do it again soon!
